These binoculars are not the best compared to others that are more expensive. However, for size, weight, waterproofing, anti-fog and functionality, I recommend the Prostaff ATB! I like to hike in almost any weather, which means I need to carry water and appropriate outerwear in my small backpack. I have enough weight to worry about and heavy binoculars are not for me. I didn't want to sacrifice reliability for lighter weight because I needed a waterproof pair of binoculars that wouldn't get inundated with water in rain or snow. I love these binoculars - they are perfect for me and I don't feel their weight when I wear them; it fits in my cargo pockets! When I have traveled to other states, I have taken them with me along with my camera. I attached the bag to my camera bag and walked around town and parks so they wouldn't get in the way. A year later I still haven't had any problems with the binoculars themselves other than the lens cap. The lens cap is cheap, but that's about it - the binoculars themselves are of good quality. I would highly recommend this particular brand or model if you are looking for something reliable and not very expensive. For the price and features, they more than work well, just take care of them.
