Review on πŸ”₯ HotHands Black Fleece Balaclava - Ultimate Warmth and Style by Chuck Shapiro

Motorcycle helmet base layer

when I saw this, I had a good feeling it would help kill the cold of winter riding. How can you go wrong with HotHands next to each ear? Well, it's not cold enough to put it to the test, but 40+ degrees was perfectly bearable. In the 50's and under 60's this is perfectly comfortable. Because it's fleece and not a cotton blend, it tends to stay warm when moisture from breath or sweat starts making my cotton bank robber balaclava of yore more of a nuisance than anything else. . The breeze from riding tends to evaporate the moisture more than the cotton that keeps it close to my face like a wet sponge. I only give 4 stars because it could be a little longer. Even with a fleece base layer on the zippered torso, I couldn't tuck the balaclava down the turtle's neck without letting the wind through. You also needed a cheap cape around your neck to keep it from getting cold. In some online store there was an extended version of a motorcycle balaclava. I recommend this product and will definitely be getting a pack of heating pads. They last several hours and are great for most helmets where there is usually a gap for our ears. Also, the heating pads aren't firm enough to block out noise, but help confuse vibrations at high speeds. No earbuds, but I find the earbuds block the sound too well to be safe once I get back onto city streets and slow down a bit.
