They are wide enough to protect cars from rocks being thrown behind my truck's rear dual wheels. They seem solid, but are mostly attached to not-so-durable OEM plastic fender liners. I'm not sure how long that will last, especially when snow and ice accumulate on it in the winter. They don't fit the existing fender liner holes and are less than perfect for the fender contours, but I was able to install them and they look fine until I look at them up close. However, when I was looking for mud/rock chip protection, they seemed a lot better than their competition.
