I was competing with the stars for this purchase because I bought them for a costume (Dee Dee from Dexter's lab, yes I had to buy a light color and dye them but it's on me lol) but I danced pointe shoes in the past. I would give that 5 stars for the costume and 1 or 2 stars for the actual ballet class. And I knew the risks I was taking when buying online. I was spoiled because I always bought my pointe shoes locally and had them professionally fitted. I probably would never have considered buying pointe shoes online if I hadn't bought a replacement from the same manufacturer for a pair that was professionally fitted to me. Before writing this review, I had to do a little research online to learn more about the different configurations of the Pointe platform because I didn't want to be too critical. I realized that I only know the shoes I've used and wanted to get more information. I've included a photo to show the difference between what I'm used to (light pink) and these platform shoes (red). These shoes are way wider than what I would wear to dance class, which is normal for a costume. I managed to adjust them by tightening the elastic. But it was awful standing in those shoes up close, ay! I guess that's mainly because my feet are "Egyptian" shaped and these shoes weren't anywhere near what I'm used to. Luckily it was a weird Halloween, there wasn't really a place to go so it served the purpose.
