I printed about 500 pages in total. Then one day, about an hour after printing 30 pages, the printer caught fire. Update July 2017: I have contacted Brother because the Revain warranty on this printer has expired by 1 month. My brother initially refused, implying that I could lie as there was no way the printer could catch fire like he did. I stood the printer alone on a wooden shelf with nothing around it and the power cord was plugged into an outlet a few feet away. I printed about 30 pages in a row, grabbed the paper and left immediately. When I came back a few hours later I smelled a strong electronic fire smell and the printer was as pictured (not lit but still warm). There is some faint evidence of flames at the bottom of the shelf above, but no other signs of fire nearby. The printer shows signs of internal combustion. This printer really caught fire. After arguing with Brother for several weeks, they finally offered to replace it with a refurbished model without admitting a single fault. I understand that this is not a common problem with these printers and I am sure we will see more reports. I don't rule out that it was an accident and probably won't happen again. I'm just sharing my experience with this product.
