Review on 🍒 Premium John Boos Block CHY-R01 Cherry Wood Cutting Board - Reversible Edge Grain, 18" x 12" x 1.5 by Randy Salgado

My family gifted me this 18x24” Boos cutting board for Mother’s Day this year. After reading many previous reviews, I knew that I would need to oil and wax it before use. We purchased the Boos products designed for this and have done the oil/wax process several times. I can feel and see when it is getting dry in areas and I just go ahead and do the process. The dark walnut color is beautiful and looks great on my counter where it stays. The cutting surface is large and smooth and so nice to use. Everything cuts like a dream. It is reversible so I flip it over every couple of weeks to get even wear. Honestly, it is almost impossible to see any wear with the proper cleaning and conditioning. It is heavy and does not move around, that is a plus in my book. I have long admired the large size, thick cutting boards you see on the cooking shows and now I have my own. Yes this board takes a little work but I believe that the effort put in will yield a useful, beautiful board for years to come.
