Be careful when standing!

To be perfectly clear, I'm not a mom who wraps my baby in bubble wrap. However, this thing is dangerous! You can sit and swing on it, but the disc is really hard to stand on. Nothing keeps it horizontal, so if you put your foot on one side, the other side of the disc pops out. It takes incredible upper body strength to put both feet on the disc. And it's a smooth plastic surface, so any of them can slip off in an instant when you try to put your other foot down. I am writing this after my 8 year old just slipped. The fall unsettled her and injured her back. I was sitting next to her on the swing set when it happened. I observed everything - she adjusted, as soon as she got up and walked, her foot slipped and she was unable or unwilling to hold her body to the rope. It's nice, like a swing to sit on - we've had plenty of these over the years. But we will continue to look for the best option for a standing swing. Be careful with these swings!
