I purchased these items on a whim. I have thick naturally semi-curly wavy curly hair with a touch of fluffiness. I usually blow dry my hair and straighten it with a flat iron. That being said, hubs love my natural hair while on the other hand I hate them. Anyway, I got them to try and see they don't use heat. I was waiting to try them out on a Saturday night when we had no plans and nothing happened the next day. I showered, washed my hair, and poured myself a glass of wine while getting ready to use those curlers. I parted my hair into strands, leaving only the bottom layer, and went to town in curlers. A few things I learned: Make sure you're not trying to pull too much hair through the tube. It will not run through and cause the wand to break when it pulls your hair. Make sure you have a tube on your stick before preparing a beautiful, perfectly combed strand of hair. The way your hair sits, that's how it stays. (I pulled my hair in front of my face to put the phone on, and after I picked up the receiver my hair wanted to fall in front of my face.) After I was done, I spent about an hour checking social media. She played games on the phone, blah blah blah, drank a few more glasses of wine. I used a blow dryer to blow out the tubes, made sure my hair was dry and used heat to set the curls. I honestly didn't have high hopes. My hair is frizzy and very frizzy. I could see curls starting near my head. When you remove the hoses: - Start with the first section you made. - Carefully unroll the tube to reveal the top. Then push it. When I picked up the first tube, I was shocked. My hair was curly, but not that curly! (there were several pieces) After removing all the hoses I couldn't believe my eyes. Each tube curled perfectly and my hair was amazing. (I mean I hate it because I hate my curly hair but this is the BEST curly hair my hair has ever looked!) Hubs went home, couldn't take her eyes off me, made a few comments and complimented mine hair high sky. So I will keep using it. The photo was taken after running my fingers through my hair a few times to smooth out the curls and using no products other than conditioner. If I were to use a curl tamer I'm pretty sure they wouldn't be frizzy at all. I highly recommend them!
