No comparison to the great original.
A few disadvantages compared to the original: causes water to collect on the lid. The medium cup is more like a small one. The pot slips around the missing weight. If it could be compared to the old original I would keep the discarded one because it's better and just old and slow and takes up a bit more space and no real problems. Don't blame yourself here, but would have paid a higher price for a larger original if I had known these facts.
