My computer is a small form factor that allows two inches of clearance above the computer with a minimal height. This is normal for use. There's no non-slip pad, so some computers, like mine, slip back slightly when you insert a USB drive or open a DVD. So the quick fix was to use clear tape, just don't look at the outside. Overall this is a good and easy to install mount. I went with the 360 degree rotating version but it's not very practical for my setup.
