I really had a lot of fun with this baby. I really thought the money spent and value was more than I expected. There were almost no flavors. I love strong scents and that's exactly what I have! It was really easy to do and I didn't have a huge mess to clean up. I actually thought candle making would be more difficult, but it helped make candle making something I really want to do again in the future. In fact, it's safe to say that I actually found a new hobby. Now I want to explore other ways to make candles with different scents including dried fruits and candles. Since I have the tools, I can continue to extract and pour wax, wicks and fragrances. I light a lot of candles so I can see that it's going to be both economical and fun. I also had ideas for future gifts made with love. Just a few things I had trouble with. A bit inconvenient I found that the wax was packaged in a plastic bag with handles inside which was wrapped in a plastic bag. Besides, the wax was neither beads nor scraps. I found mine a bit soft and looked half melted. The instructions are clear; However, I did some conversions to ounces because it's easier for me. It takes a bit of effort and patience to do this as a multi-person activity with one set - it's a melter, so it needs to be the same color and smell if you're going to make two at the same time. Also, it's only two wick holders, so you can only make two candles at a time. Makes sense considering you can melt up to two candles. My partner and I went back and forth with one candle at a time, but when it came time to make our second candle we cut a hole in the foil to thread the wick through and fill it. I also found that where the end of the wick and the metal part meet, some of mine were bent enough that they could easily come loose/break. However, I would recommend this if you are interested, especially if you are just starting out.
