Up until a few weeks ago I used 1 Sony remote (which came with my soundbar) for my TV, my soundbar and my Blu-Ray and separately for my ROKU . However, when it came time to upgrade the soundbar, the new one wasn't universal, so again I had to use separate remotes for each. I needed a universal! I was most concerned about my ROKU as it is a point-anywhere remote, but apparently the ROKU 3 device can receive either point-anywhere or IR. This remote works with all my Sony devices as well as the ROKU 3, now I just have to point it directly at it. The main reason I chose it over the popular GE is, because the device selection buttons are clearer (on the other hand, there was no "streaming" button), and I like that ROKU's buttons are purple so they're more intuitive. A disadvantage. NO back button! If you rely heavily on it, you may still need a ROKU remote. The quality of the remote control is cheaper, but what can you expect at such a price? Seems to work great! but what can you expect at such a price? Seems to work great! but what can you expect at such a price? Seems to work great!
