You get what you paid for - cheap! Did you notice that the bottom doesn't say what plastic it's made of? No recycling symbol with number? Who knows what that plastic is, but it's not food safe. The first time I used it I made a lemon tart that used lemon zest as one of the ingredients. I rubbed the outside of the lemon and put it in a cup to measure out. I left it there for 20 minutes while I prepped the rest of the ingredients. As I was about to add the lemon zest, I poured it in and noticed the cup was scratched. I thought it was lemon peel wax. After washing, the cup never got clean again. I examined it carefully and saw that the plastic had actually melted. Citric acid did it! I finished the cake and baked it, but then I worried about melted plastic that might have gotten into my cake. In the end I threw everything away. What a waste of my time and ingredients! I threw the cup away and ordered something more durable.
