The automatic lock/unlock button is defective. It does not matter. It cannot be pressed. It's just a solid lead. I contacted the seller to see what could be done. I was disappointed that the button didn't work. Update - The seller said the item was defective so I sent it back and ordered a new one. Same problem again. I think I'll just use it without snapping it as the rubber grips seem to hold the dryer in place. The instructions on the box say you have to press a button to lock it. The resulting 2 is just a solid edge, it can't be pushed in and won't move/slip. Upgraded to 3 stars because the product seems to work without the auto unlock/lock button and fits in my dryer - just disappointed that the 'Easy Unlock' button didn't work on both products I received. I've been looking for a universal diffuser for a long time and I think this is one of the best inventions. The twist-to-adjust idea with rubber knobs makes it ideal for use with many dryers, even travel dryers.
