Review on PacSafe Citysafe Convertible Backpack Fits Nightfall Backpacks for Laptop Backpacks by Brian Edwards

It was a failure for me

I love Pacsafe for their travel bag safety features. I bought it and a slim Travelon backpack for comparison. Firstly, I love the color and feel of the material as well as the overall look of this backpack. I feel safe wearing it around town due to its ingenious zipper mechanism. However, there are a few things to note: In backpack mode, the strap goes through the top center ring. I'm 5ft 1in with narrow shoulders so the straps position suits me perfectly. However, there is no "stopper" to prevent the strap from slipping. I have to constantly adjust the position of the backpack so that not only when I'm filled with everything I need, all the weight is on my neck. the weight is evenly distributed. The interior of this backpack is simple. It has a zippered RFID pocket on the bottom of the backpack, making it difficult to grab a wallet. It also has a padded divider for a tablet or Kindle. The Travelon has RFID and interior pockets for passport and credit. The center back zipper is interesting. While I like the idea of having an easier access point in the back without having to undo the main zipper from the top ring, you can't open it fully due to the zipper's safety stop. When it's full and you're trying to get to the RFID pocket, it's a bit unwieldy. The position of the back zip makes more sense in wallet mode as it then becomes the top zip. However, it is still difficult to hit. The folded top gives you an extra pocket, but make sure the main zips stay in place. It's too big for me as a shoulder bag. I tend to overfill, it puts strain on my shoulder. I would prefer to wear it crossbody but the straps don't shorten enough to wear it as such.

Pros

Cons
  • Almost everything is fine
