Not 100% accurate but close enough to what I bought it for. We turn it over and get about an hour of work. I think this hourglass runs a little over an hour, but I really don't mind. This is a fun, easy timer for kids to use without making loud noises or having to program. something digital to start or reset it. My son has even found that when he needs to take a short break, he puts the hourglass on its side to keep it from "running". They are quite blue and very durable. I am very happy with this purchase.
