Review on ๐Ÿšด Allen Sports Premier Locking Tray Rack: The Ultimate Secure Bicycle Carrier by Kevin Singleton

Revainrating 4 out of 5

But great bike rack.

When it comes to bike transport, it's one of, if not the, best. Installation is easy and even assembling two bikes takes no more than a minute or two. Bikes are perfectly safe, as evidenced by my 1000 mile ride on mixed quality roads. It is well built and requires minimal and easy assembly. The trunk of my car can be opened and made accessible even when the bikes are on the stand, but of course it's not as easy as without the trunk. When not in use, the tray folds neatly and easily. I bought this particular rack because of all the tray mounts I was looking at. This was the lightest at 32 pounds and I have enjoyed and appreciated other Allen products. I needed a pan mount because I recently bought a carbon frame bike and didn't like the idea of hanging the frame by the top tube like my other Allen Rack mount requires. The maker of the bike said it was possible if I attached it properly, but I just didn't like the idea. I have a sedan and this is part of the problem as the hitch itself is quite low. For reasons I can't explain I installed it fairly easily the first two tries but since then I have not been able to they get through without any help. . It's easy with help. Holding the stand and inserting it that deep into the receiver becomes a little tricky because if I get close to it or have to tilt it one way or the other I can't see what I'm doing. I do. Sometimes it's a weakness in my vision, sometimes the posture itself blocks my vision. I'm 6 feet tall and strong enough to lift 32 pounds without much difficulty. The problem is putting it in and installing it. My intuition tells me it might be easier with a 2" receiver, but I haven't tried it yet. If a potential buyer has a pickup truck or SUV with a taller hitch than a sedan, this can make things easier. can get better with practice If the buyer intends to wear it and leave it for a long time, the problem I have should not be a problem. I would give 4 1/2 stars if I could. I have used other Allen products and love them all. I like this one too, just wish it was easier to install.
