Well made Frye boots as expected- a bit of roughness / fraying to the Harness edges that should have been trimmed during processing, but not a huge problem-just adds to the rugged look.These boots will be wonderful once they are broken in-like my other ones. Very tight to get on, as usual for new Harness boots-I used plastic bags and bare feet-which allowed them to slip right on- and back off just as easy using a boot jack-otherwise would not have gotten foot in/out to test for fit. Leather is soft and beautiful perfect gray color, and the hardware is pewter color which I prefer -not bright silver, which adds to the charm of these boots. Leather smells great too! My third pair of Frye boots all made in the USA. (unfortunately, not all their styles are made in America-it will state Made in USA on the item description-and inside the boot/shoe if they are) I plan to purchase more Frye boots- as long as the quality remains the same and they are still made in America. Frye boots last forever! I want the Belted Harness next.UPDATE: unable to break in the pair reviewed above. Feet cramped horribly each time attempted wearing - especially the left. Replacement sent was too tight as well, and defective in left pull strap. They are beautiful- minus the defects, but unwearable, so Sadly, I am returning both pair. Did not want to try a third pair. Not the usual FRYE quality in the two pair of these I received. Very narrow- especially the left boot. The FRYE company informed me that different people are assigned to make all the left boots while others are assigned make all the right boots- then the boots are matched up as well as possible into pairs. perhaps that is where the problem is for the fit- the defects and lack of QA is to blame otherwise.I own many pair of FRYE boots now, and have had to return a few along the way due to quality, these things happen, but these two pair of the oiled / washed version are totally disappointing- and well below acceptable, especially due to the fact that they were made in America!
