This scarf has vibrant colors, matches the product photos and feels like real silk. I'm happy with it for my wardrobe. Colors: I received the sample "Color 1" which is a close-up of a Monet painting of water lilies with blue flowers. The colors match the product photos and overall it looks as expected. One thing I haven't done is a solid color border. For this template, this is a standard cream border. I think he blended into the background of the photos for me so I didn't realize he was there. My taste is rather unconventional and if I could think of it better I might make a pattern with a light border. But I imagine that, not the scarf. The print quality is also very good. It's a kind of speckled drawing, so I don't know if it has a lot of detail, but the print has good resolution. There are no pixelated or torn parts and it looks beautiful live. Construction: The edges are folded twice and then sewn together with a chain. The fold is very small. This occurs mainly where there is no exposed tissue around the edges. This also applies where the stitches later dissolve, they can be easily fixed with a needle and thread and the patch corresponds to the original. Not much sewing is done in the large flat scarf, but the sewing here is perfect. Is it silk?: It is a satin fabric. I don't have room to cut off a piece and do a burn test without ruining the scarf and I don't want to ruin it. Based on my previous experience with silk, I believe it is real. It feels like silk, has a pearlescent sheen rather than sheen, and drapes like silk. All packaging was labeled "100% Silk". Is silk worth it?: I actually have some cheap viscose scarves and some expensive polyester (made in Italy from polyester) scarves with crazy colors and light fabric and I really like them. But it's a numbers game because I personally bought them, which is where I got to see and feel the fabric for the first time. The sheen and drape of silk differ from imitations. I think it's a numbers game and Silk will most likely be good if you can't test it in person first. I also prefer to hand wash synthetic scarves because each one is so sheer and delicate that silk doesn't require any extra work. Washing: Silk is made up of proteins, so regular enzyme-based detergent will damage the fibres. . Woolite is great for soap (wool is also made of proteins). The quilt forums say baby shampoo works for silk too, and that's what I use. Basically, I wash silk separately in a bucket, rinse with soap, then rinse and then hang to dry. So far the silk bedding I have had has lasted much longer than one would expect from such a thin and sheer fabric. So that's one way to wash this scarf. Price: I really don't think you'll find a better deal on real silk than this. I find the price quite reasonable. (It's twenty-six bucks now, just in case the price changes dramatically after I've written a review.) All in all, it looks very good in person. Looks just as good as the product photos. The print quality and fabric texture are excellent. I can't definitely test if it's silk without damaging it, but I believe it feels like silk. If you like any of the patterns available here and you want to try a silk scarf as an accessory, then I think this is a great option.
