The base holding the steam cleaner head gets too hot at 1 control setting. Can be dangerous and cause burns. I would not recommend it for steaming clothes. A longer cable is also required when laying floors, since short circuits cause the cable to be constantly disconnected. I believe this item should also come with an extra microfiber cloth.
