I recently had major reconstructive surgery on my wrist and this pillow just saved my life! Yes, it's bulky, but that makes it stable. For the first five days, I held it on my arm 24 hours a day with my fingers pointing toward the ceiling. I held it close to my chest for walking and laid it on the couch next to me. Yes, it's cheaply built for the price. After reading the negative reviews, I pre-sealed the cracks in the front shield with superglue. I also put tape on the barrel to make it easier to get your hand in. I showed it to the surgical team and they started recommending it to other patients. My pain after the operation was only at its worst for the first few hours after the blockage was gone and then again within a few hours the next evening. I am convinced that this pillow saved me from a painful recovery.
