Review on Stay Powered Up With RVGUARD'S 4 Prong 30 Amp Generator Extension Cord – NEMA L14-30P/L14-30R, 10Ft, ETL Listed by Nicole Bao

Nice looking product. (Have not used with power applied yet.)

Oddly the L14-30 extension cable came with an "unusual” adapter; a L14-30 (four prong 220v) receptacle with a (three prong 125v) L5-30 plug! The two 125v legs in the 220v receptacle are tied together internally. Strange and potentially hazardous arrangement. I know most generators wouldn’t like their two 120v (220v) windings w/ separate neutral & ground tied together!

Pros
  • Came with an adaptor for a 4 prong hook up, which I needed.
Cons
  • The ETL certification limits the cord's use in certain industries
