My daughter was born with a cleft palate and has several dental problems related to her condition. One of them is very weak and brittle teeth, along with frequent ear infections. Her dentist suggested using mouthwash and toothpaste with xylitol. Now the whole family uses this paste. And I recommend it to anyone looking for a good whitening toothpaste! FYI: WebMD claims that while xylitol tastes sweet, it doesn't convert to tooth decay-causing acids in the mouth like sugar does.
