Because I like to sleep, I always need 100% cotton sheets. These days you never seem to know if you're going to get that. Don't worry, it's definitely full cotton. Very breathable. Yes, they wrinkle a little, but that's a downside of cotton. I also have sets of these sheets with buttons which gives them a nice touch. But my cat seems to nibble at the buttons, so the zip option is fine. I wouldn't call burgundy burgundy, more of a faded red. But a very pretty color nonetheless. I'm a lucky tourist
