Didn't stick to any of the adhesive strips I tried. Maybe it was the outside temperature (50 degrees on the car a dent in the sun), the temperature of the glue gun (wireless B&D - measured 224 degrees at the tip). or adhesive tabs, some cheap, some branded goods (Wcaro, PDR, Keco, Atlas - all from China). Anyway, I felt like they should have offered more holding power on the outside, but maybe I needed a better/hotter adhesive to suit the situation? a regular old glue gun that generates a lot more heat but with more pesky drips and twists. I'll update this review when it gets warmer outside and then I'll give it a try.
