I thought it was cute and unusual for a scratching post so I bought it for my 19 (yes you read that right) cats and they love it ! We originally bought a giraffe and after a few months a couple of legs were quite frayed and a feather was showing on the tail but they just couldn't get enough. I have ordered a zebra, a unicorn and a deer (reindeer are a Christmas present for her (I'm that crazy cat lady)) and although they don't use them that often (various textures with patterns) they use them and it becomes a matter of Time to be when they too are torn apart. Cats that use it range from 12 weeks to 3 years old and weigh around 2/3lb to 10. There have been times when up to 4 cats have sat on it at a time and I believe it's only tipped over for a couple. Mal (with a big cat inside). For the money you just can't go wrong! It's a scratching post, toy and bed all in one and you can't go wrong with USA craftsmanship!
