scoured the internet looking for a laptop that can do 3D modeling and game development in unity. This thing is great for a blender and indeed everything else. I looked at the Helios 300, the razor blade and everything else. In terms of reviews, specs, and price, this thing comes out on top. The only immediate downside to this laptop is the gamer aesthetic on the lid, which you can't turn off due to the light coming from your display. But once you ripped off all the stickers and bought black vinyl and a sticker to hide the evil glowing "predator" logo, this thing really lets you be a grown-up in public and get things done. I haven't done anything on it that could be considered a real game, but everything I've done on it so far in the last 2 weeks has been great. The battery life is above average for a gaming laptop, but if you do any research at all you'll find that it's relatively poor overall based on the specs of this or any true gaming laptop. The RTX 2060 works great for Blender and doesn't slow things down. From a 3D modeling perspective, it should protect you a little in the future as ray tracing and other fancy stuff gets more implementations for non-gaming applications in the future. The screen is just fantastic. It could be brighter in bright light, but that doesn't bother me so far. I leave it on battery saver mode most of the time, and for all but the most demanding digital sculpting tasks it flies. a push of a button) it's not that loud. In a quiet room, yes, you can hear it a little, but in everyday use it's okay. The usual non-turbo fan noise doesn't matter much, even on the quiet side. As I write this, there is dead silence. Keep in mind that for games with the highest demands on the innards it could be a bit more brutal and the fan would work like crazy. It didn't feel hot, maybe a little warm. Overall very happy with the investment. Will update if anything goes wrong but so far so good and I highly recommend it. I went for the rtx 2060 and 512gb version and the 144hz screen and I have no regrets.
