I bought this bag specifically for a four day cruise. It turned out to be a good place for carry-on luggage. From the airport to the boat, everything worked out great! I want to emphasize that I started this journey conservatively. I thought a lot about what I wanted and needed, and dressed carefully on landing day. The rest of the people in my group had 1-2 bags; large bags that you cannot take with you. This allowed me to pack the following in this bag without straining the zippers: 1 pair of minimalist shoes (very easy to pack) 4 t-shirts * 4 pairs of socks 4 pairs of boxers * 1 collared shirt * 1 pants * 1 shorts cargo * 1 Pair of swimming trunks * 1 compact jacket * 1 toiletry bag (toothpaste, toothbrush, razor, travel shaving foam, travel contact solution, etc.) 1 small DSLR camera 3 chargers (phone, camera, tablet) 1 7-inch tablet 1 passport/travel documents 1 500ml -Water bottle in side pocket I have traveled on Southwest Airlines and the bag fits EASILY in overhead bins with a full load. flat and covered with fleece material, therefore very soft. Having worked on this planet for almost 30 years, this is probably my favorite flash. They're easy to put on and seem pretty solid considering how I've loaded them. They also have a nice outer self-sealing "liner" to help keep water out. The fabric itself also has a nice water repellent finish that doesn't make the bag look crazy. The padding is great on both the back and shoulders. The chest strap is also comfortable. A small detail and a big surprise was the soft grip on top. It's hard to tell from the photos in the product description, but this item is beautiful. I really can't say enough about this bag. The design is very well thought out and the use of space is fantastic. I hope someone gets/gets an award for this! At the risk of sounding cheesy, this is an excellent travel package and suits my needs perfectly. I think this will get you anywhere through a long weekend.
