This is a simple suit that does the job perfectly. In one day I studied several costumes and ordered 5 different types, brands. I wanted something that would be suitable for laps and also be able to spend time with my kids at the local pool. Of all the costumes ordered, this was the keeper. I'm 5ft 3in, 125lbs and am still struggling with belly and back fat from being pregnant with my 2 year old. I usually wear size 2 to 4 jeans and a medium sized shirt. Judging by the brand's sizing chart, I ordered a 36. If I really wanted everything to be snug so I could practically hop across the water while diving, I'd go with the 34. But 36 is what I have to wear on the table. Being a competitive swimmer so I'm no newbie when it comes to swimwear. Everyone's body is different, but here's what I found: The leg/hip lift was pretty modest, especially compared to other styles of sports that completely rise above the femur and show off all that great pelvic fat. Shoulder straps don't cut in. It has a double layer of fabric that resists tangling and also means no free peep shows; you can't see through it. It helps that the layers of fabric are black. The Y-strap on the back was so comfortable I didn't even notice or think about it. The suit fits well everywhere; There was no problem with the bottom cover or the suit bunching up in the butt crevice or anything. They felt a little loose compared to what I'm used to, but as I said I used to wear a size down to be less resistant to water. This tight but not tight fit should keep it in good condition for longer. I think it's a great costume so I kept it. Otherwise I would keep looking. I managed to get a glimpse of the pool a couple of times despite the modest costume and despite the fact that my 4 year old was with me. They either thought it looked good or they were scared. I hope this is the first. My husband said it's a good suit and looks good and doesn't usually blow smoke. What did I find compared to other suits I ordered? I do not understand. The rest of the costumes just didn't fit. I'm not exactly odd in size or proportion. i am ordinary I don't have a long body. I'm not long-legged with a short body. i am proportional But not in their costumes. Three suits fit, but they were too short, and two of them had molded bra cups that dropped my bust as if they were meant to sit an inch below my ribs. One suit had ruching in the front and was completely askew, which didn't suit the erect body, and the shoulder straps were terribly chunky.
