I wanted to buy another fast wireless charger for my Samsung Galaxy S9+ Plus phone. I already have an Anker fanless wireless charger (fast charger) and a regular Anker standard wireless charger (slow version). I spotted this new Anker Powerwave fanless and it was cheaper than the fan version. Thought I'd give it a try and compare it to other Anker wireless chargers as well. Weight and thickness: This charging station is lighter and thinner than Anker's fan-powered wireless charger, but not as light and thin as a regular charger (slow version). . See photos. Specifications and Package Contents: This Anker PowerWave fast charger (fanless) works very well with my phone and supports fast charging depending on the wattage of your power plug. If you have a connector with Quick Charge 3.0 function, this Powerwave stand supports fast charging. This stand doesn't come with an adapter (which explains the difference in price compared to the one with a fan), but with a very durable Anker Micro USB cable. I've included some pictures showing what's in the box and other comparison pictures. Heat: I was wondering since this version doesn't have a fan so maybe it will heat up during fast charging, so after a few weeks of use I've had "NO" heat issues with this stand. It gets a bit warm like any other charger, but that shouldn't be a problem. The stand felt cool, no problem. LED INDICATOR AND CHARGING WITH CASE: The stand has a small blue LED indicator. This light serves as a status indicator. It glows blue while charging and flashes when wireless charging is difficult due to metal in the case. Also, with this charger you don't have to remove the heavy duty cases, I've used the Caseology Legion Heavy Duty Case and the Ringke Wave Dual Layer Case and both have worked well. Phone while charging and bottom to keep the charger in place. Overall I think this is a solid product.
