Really discussed between 3 and 4 stars on this topic. It works out? Yes. it snaps securely into place, yes. It feels sturdy/well made, yes. Does it snap when folded, yes, but therein lies my problem. The locking mechanism is a rotating metal element of simple construction. You squeeze the TV and the metal spins and loosens and the TV wobbles free. Lift the TV, the metal rotates and locks into place. Well, for one, mine took too long and I would break the TV to lock and unlock it. But it's easy to fix, so I loosened it up. Now my problem is that the metal part sometimes turns the wrong way when it's off and you have to lower the TV and fiddle with the latch to get it in the right position. It's simple enough and not difficult to fix, but at the same time I feel like I don't have to. I decided to give it 4 stars because the price is good, it seems sturdy and the lock, although annoying at times, is easy enough to turn and fix. I'm not sure I would recommend this to everyone, but for the price it's not bad.
