Apple Pencil without holder is extremely slippery and awkward to hold. This case does it better. but it's not great. It *shows* the pencil engraving, leaving a nice spot for the double-tap feature, and it's not uncomfortable to hold, even for long periods of time. It does not need to be removed to charge the pen. I love these things. But it also tends to curl around the pin, loosening up in places. squirm as you write and often need to be adjusted. For the price I really can't complain. But I wish it was thicker and thinner.
