Cable TV, PS3 and Xbox360 are currently connected to this connection. When you turn on the gaming system, the HDMI switch will automatically detect it and switch it immediately. You're not doing anything that's great! Then when you're done and turn off the game system, the switch will automatically switch it back to "z. B. Saying that you are cable TV. Very cool idea! No switching inputs, channels, nothing. I made my #1 cable to my Xbox #2 to my PS3 #3 and will add my PS4 to slot #4. There is absolutely no programming, it's plug and play. I just made mine that way since I watch cables most of the time so #1 would be PS3 #3 and PS4 would be #4 just because the numbers in each system would make it easier to remember. And Xbox is an extra person, so that's #2. This switch was a must! and constantly unplugging HDMI from the back of the TV only weakens the connections, and once they mess up the TV becomes unusable. I need to do this with TVs that have minimal HDMI inputs. Thanks to this switch, I now only have one cable connected from this switch to the TV. Just great! I will update if anything changes. ***Updated 6/1/2020*** It keeps switching ports on its own and throwing a blue screen. Too bad, that was a great concept. Really a slacker but brought it back.
