Edited June 2021 and this cooling pad is still working. Still five stars. It still works as intended. Now that I'm four years old I can say with confidence that this was a great purchase. First Review: This is my second Targus laptop cooling pad; It was originally bought to cool an overheated 13" Dell SSD so it would be more comfortable to use on your lap. My new laptop (15" SSD) overheated a few times when I left it on the couch to charge and I don't want that to happen again. Like my old Targus, this new one has two quiet but powerful fans that keep my laptop cool; A cooler computer is better and happier. :-) The USB cable that connects to my laptop (to power the fans) is stored in clips on either side just under the top between the top and bottom. The bottom that sits on my feet is some kind of soft fabric and makes it comfortable without getting warm. (The forecast calls for 100 and 107 degrees in a couple of days, so staying warm is important if I want to sit in the cooler patio shade.) The cooling pad is lightweight and the laptop sits securely on it without moving. around when I move the laptop and cooling pad. Highly recommended.
