Size Small trolley fits Kamado Joe Junior

The trolley is very strong and well made with smooth rolling wheels. The manufacturer supplied an extra piece of each of the three fasteners required (13mm bolt, 13mm nut and 18mm roller nut). The manufacturer also supplies two stamped wrenches, which are sufficient for light tightening, but not for full tightening. I had a 13mm wrench and sockets in my kit but had to use a crescent wrench to tighten the four large 18mm roller bolts but that was fine. As for assembly, I would suggest hand tightening all the parts but waiting until everything is assembled. Pay attention to the two pairs of cross braces to ensure they line up with the flat bar (which has a square carriage slot) on top each time they are placed over the U-rail. When this is all assembled you will see that the carriage has some "play" which should be taken into account when final tightening. Having a second person to help hold the pieces in place while you tighten them is very helpful. We turned the wagon upside down and found that tightening from the bottom up works best. Rolling first, you will notice that as the nuts are tightened, the roller bearing rings will begin to rotate. Since you can't get a tool to grab the nut on the pulley, we used water pump pliers (channel lock) to grab the pulley once the nut was tightened. Once the casters are in place, turn the carriage over and then make sure to keep the spacers vertical while you tighten these 2 nuts and finish with the 4 top bolts. When it's time to move your kamado, remove any internal ceramic parts for easier handling. The fit is tight, so pay special attention to the position of the bottom vent door and carriage arms. It did take some effort to slide the Kamado all the way into the car, but since it's very secure once it's in place, it's a good thing. I added 2 photos. One shows Kamado next to a metal counter where Joe Jr. appears. The stand places the bottom of the Kamado 5 inches off the ground. On the cart, the bottom of the Kamado is now 18" off the ground and the grilling surface is a comfortable 28" off the ground. Now it's easy to move around on casters. The manufacturer recommends pulling the handle instead of pushing. My terrace has masonry joints and the rollers slide smoothly and easily over the joints. This is what Kamado Joe Jr. does in a very good grill for cooking up to 6 people. I've cooked chicken, tri-type, steaks, ham and even ribs to serve 6 people. A small block is perfect for me. I didn't want a 200lb BBQ (like a classic) if I'm cooking primarily for small groups. The addition of easy portability means I can place it anywhere on the patio for use and then easily return it to a rain-proof location under the eaves.
