Broke after a year on car mounts

Well when I first got this it seemed good so I installed it in my jeep on the dash. Everything seemed fine. Until yesterday when it failed disastrously. I lived almost a year when the ball unscrewed itself! The plastic broke and my phone and cradle fell to the floor of the jeep. In the middle of the trail! Disappointing to be sure. Needless to say I will be replacing this with an all aluminum version and will never take this again. I hope you have better luck if that's what you're up to.
