My 5 year old was thrilled to receive this jacket. It's thinner but very soft on the inside, and in our climate we rarely need a thick layer of wool, so it suits us. The color is vibrant and washes clean (wash in cold water, tumble dry low). No pilling or other problems after washing. My son can use the zipper on his own so it's smooth and works well, it seems secure too.
