Fun Flying Mini Drone Toy

We are middle aged but my wife loves drone toys and we have had quite a few over the years. We saw several commercials for this type of remote control flying saucer and wanted to try it. Hey, something to help us get up and move, right? Thanks to the magic of the prime number, it happened very quickly. There were some odd oil stains on the corners of the package and my nose picked up motor oil or WD40. Fortunately, the contents of the package were not damaged. Inside was a drone, a USB charging cable with a built-in display, and an instruction manual. The instructions are fairly well written and should be read carefully so you understand how to charge, calibrate and fly the drone. Charging is relatively quick and we were ready for our first flight within 30 minutes. Now the fun begins! We chased the drone through a crowded, undersized room. From time to time it would hit the ceiling and hang there for a while until it fell off and you could reach it again. This works best if you can raise your arm 1 to 2 feet away when the drone approaches. This gives the sensors time to register the obstacle and react. It can't change direction too fast and you have to avoid touching it to keep it from breaking. We crashed the drone several times and were glad the device passed the test. As stated in the instructions, this mini toy drone is best used in a large, well-lit room where there aren't too many obstacles to hide behind if it approaches. The angle of your hand also seems to play a role. I was in a wheelchair, and if the drone was overhead, a raised arm would lift it higher toward the ceiling. You definitely want your hand to be perpendicular to or above the toy and tilted down so it doesn't rise too high. All in all we found it very funny once we got the hang of it.
