I did a lot of research before making a decision. This is a great product for the money. It is covered with high quality homemade carpet and is strong enough for my three cats, one of which is a Maine Coon. For those concerned about stability, the top bunk is high enough to "stand on" the windowsill, but it doesn't really have to be. Perfect size for what I wanted which is cats for bird watching etc. Window. As soon as I assembled it and placed it by the window, the cats soon took their place. Easy assembly with included hardware and tools. I highly recommend this product.
