After looking through a lot of adapters over the last few years I decided to order this one simply because it's cheaper. It does its job and plays music through my car speakers. However, if I don't twist the cord into the correct position, the music that comes out is very quiet and of poor quality. It also emits surprising bursts of static electricity from time to time. However, that seems to apply to every adapter, so I can live with it. What really knocked down the reviews for this adapter is that the tape spins really loud and there are constant "tape errors" when my music stops playing for some reason. What's even more annoying is that this adapter somehow manages to launch Siri when music should be playing, which ends up interfering with my music and sometimes wasting my data. (I don't even know how that happens, considering I don't even touch my phone in the car and don't have "Hey Siri" set up on my iPhone.) Adapter defective, but I ordered a second one to compare and it did the same thing. In the future I will probably only buy more expensive adapters. While definitely cheaper than others, I don't think buying this product is worth the hassle.
