I have mixed feelings on this light fixture. When I first opened the box, I was disappointed by the color of the brass. It does not match our other antique gold light fixtures as I was hoping. The interior of the shade almost has a pink hue to it that I am not fond of. (For the record, though, I am extremely particular with metal finishes). The shape of this light is very attractive, though. The light is also lightweight, which makes installation very simple. We used a 60 watt Edison bulb which is the max recommended, and this lamp produces dim, ambient lighting. I would recommend this light for very specific areas, such as in a bar setting, where it is not used as a primary light source. It does look cute against my wood ceiling, but we are going to relocate it to a more suitable location.
