I've successfully installed many faucets over the years, but after sweating under my vanity for over two hours, this faucet defeated me. This faucet looks beautiful from the start but the installation was a nightmare and now I'm sending it back. Let's start with the instructions. Apparently, Grohe decided to save money by having its German engineers draw some diagrams instead of paying a translator to provide written instructions in different languages. The result is user-friendly instructions and diagrams that are imprecise. especially the one showing the orientation of the clamp under the countertop. This faucet rests on a threaded rod that runs from the valve body above the sink to the clamp below the sink, which is tightened with a copper nut. The problem is that the threaded rod is not in the center of the valve. This means that when the nut is tightened, the valve body tilts slightly towards the threaded rod. Despite numerous attempts, the crane looks a bit like a falling pizza tower. I've installed (and been happy with) Grohe faucets before, but not with this one. Buyer Warning.
