Very inaccurate: fish and aquatic animals
I have a 60 gallon Marineland aquarium and ALL I have was Marineland so I decided to leave it the same and give them to get a heater. This 250W heater should heat up a 70 gallon aquarium, but it can barely handle my 60 gallons. I have a heater to the left of the tank next to the water flow from my Marineland Penguin 350B to help with heat dissipation. around the tank. But I have to turn the knob to about 82 to keep the temp at 77. The temperature in my room is about 67 degrees, so it's not cold. I need to buy another one for the other side of the tank to even out the temperature. But on the other hand it looks really nice, it has a clicking button so you know how many degrees you are setting to (not that it matters as it's so many degrees off) and the button and heater side are easily accessible. Read temperature range.
