Great for use with my CPAP! (Philips Respironics Remstar Auto A-flex)

My CPAP usually runs around 16 cm, so I put a lot of strain on a battery.I recently took my CPAP tent camping for two nights, so I brought two batteries. The first night it was 8 degrees Fahrenheit. I slept over ten hours that night, and the battery and CPAP were still going strong in the morning. The CPAP and battery were OUTSIDE of my sleeping bag (but inside the tent). The second night we had a heat wave of 20 degrees, and the second battery performed flawlessly just like the first one. These batteries weigh 1.1 pounds each. Much nicer than the gel-cells that I took before that weighed 5.5 pounds each.I may have been able to get by on just one battery, but I was not willing to risk it with the cold weather.I am also considering taking the batteries on my next cruise. Cruise cabins typically do not have electrical outlets near the bed, so you need to use an official bright orange cruise ship extension cord (supplied at no charge) that is quite unattractive and becomes a tripping hazard. By charging the battery during the day and using it at night, I can get rid of the tripping hazard eyesore. The DC power cord supplied with the battery fit my CPAP. If you need a different power cord, you can get a universal kit. Look for "DC Power Adapter Kits" as well as a "DC Power 5.5mm x 2.1mm Patch Cable Wire Male to Male". Some of the adapter kits include the patch cable.

Pros
  • Safe: The battery pack is designed with safety features, such as over-voltage and short-circuit protection
Cons
  • The battery pack may not be suitable for high-impact activities, which can lead to damage or malfunction
