Review on Nicpro Mechanical Pencils Set - 3 Metal Artist Pencils With 6 HB Lead Refills, 3 Erasers, And 9 Eraser Refills In A Case For Drawing, Writing, And Drafting by Benjie Swindler

I purchased these mechanical pencils along with the 0.5 mm ones from the same company at the beginning of last semester. I have not broken a single one yet (although I have lost a few). The nice thing about these pencils is that if you drop them, most likely they will not break since the tip retracts into the pencil if force is exerted on it. There are a few issues which should be addressed relating to build quality. First, the eraser caps are easy to loose and fall off easily. To fix that, I used a wrench and made them slightly oblong so that they would tightly slide on and off of the pencil and not fall off when the pencil is upside-down. Secondly, as other reviewers have mentioned, these pencils have a bad habit of breaking lead off inside of the pencil. The piece that falls out is always the same length and must be due to an excess of friction somewhere on the internal mechanism.
