Until the 518th, the G500 actively served me for 7.5 years (in principle, it still works, but sometimes the middle button gets stuck, which caused the replacement), so I compare it exclusively with it. The shape is almost the same (even the legs are located in the same way). In terms of weight - lighter, even if you remove additional weights from the G500. The right and left buttons require more effort when pressed, it takes some getting used to. There are not enough additional buttons, there are 5 of them instead of 7 (I donโt count the right, left and middle ones). The additional buttons on the G500 are located more conveniently, as it seems to me - for example, + and - under the index finger, not under the middle one. The biggest drawback is the wheel, it is small, does not lean to the sides, and it is inconvenient to press - either you bend your finger or press it with a phalanx. The side buttons are fine. In terms of accuracy, the 518th is apparently better, but I canโt judge, because. I set 1200 dpi once and never change it again. Outwardly, the 500th looked more interesting, plus there was an LED, the 518th is more modest and more easily soiled. The cable is thinner and without a braid - but it's for the best, because. on the 500th bend, I never straightened out. In general, work is almost as convenient as before, only the wheel upsets. 4000 I would not give for it, of course.
