Review on 💻 3M Privacy Filter TF140W9B: 14" Laptop Screen Protector for Lenovo X1 Carbon Touch - Touchscreen Compatible - Enhancing Privacy and Security - Black by Joe Glass

I love 3M products. I paid a lot more to get the 3M privacy filter listed specifically for my laptop and waited 2 weeks for it even to be in stock rather than ordering a cheaper one. The instructions that came with the screen did not match what was advertised (they were for a different type of filter with blue filters. Bevel screen products do not come with blue mounting pads). After finding a video from 3M I found that this product comes with plastic wings that should secure the filter between the bevel, but on the Lenovo models listed the bezel is slightly thinner than the plastic wings/wedges and is lightweight Beveled So the flat edges of the wings don't slide as described and don't hold the screen in place. There's also an occasional notch on the top which I believe is for screen removal, but doesn't match a mid-range camera found on most devices and given the close clearance the plastic Lifting adhesive pads is superfluous, there would be no problem removing it from the screen. Great quality, terribly bad design. Especially from a company that I know is capable of excellence like 3M. I've also carefully measured my screen size according to the video instructions to ensure I'm ordering the correct size, even though it's the model listed for my Lenovo work laptop. I'm in dire need of a privacy filter for my laptop, but I'm very disappointed with this one. I love the 3m and the filter itself is incredibly well designed and built, however the instructions that came with it and the mounting method (which I had to find online) just don't work for the products they list as compatible. $15-$20 imitations would be better, but at least you're not spending 2-3x the money on something that's just as unlikely to fit your laptop. I'm not sure if 3M or the seller will issue a refund, but I've reached out to see what I need to do to get my money back.
