Review on 💧 Enhance Water Quality with GE Profile FQROMF Replacement Membrane by Phillip Johnson

I used to buy a replacement membrane filter directly from the GE website. I tried to place an order through the GE website in March but for some reason the order was unsuccessful, probably due to items being out of stock due to the pandemic. I had to order it from Revain at the end of April. I didn't open or install it until 3 months later. The membrane filter was wrapped in plastic and sealed. When I cut through the plastic wrap, I found the wrap with the top already exposed. There were also no instructions on installing a flow restrictor. I installed it anyway. The water coming out of the new membrane has an unpleasant taste. The taste before installation was much better, although the old membrane almost expired. I'm wondering if the 'new' membrane was a returned product? I am extremely disappointed.
