This thing is SO great. Let's be honest; Peeling and pitting a mango is dirty work! This device makes it amazingly easy. Is it still a bit messy? Yes of course. But the process of making a wonderful, sweet, pitted and peeled mango is a lot less tedious and certainly a lot less messy. I read many reviews and hesitated to buy because some said they never succeeded. Not the case at all for me. We have a tree full of big ripe mangoes and have been using this thing every day since it arrived. Don't hesitate if you like mangoes and want to make them easy!
