I was starting out painting a bunch of diamond art and switching between colors was always the most annoying part so thought it might be worth a try. I'm always afraid that I'll smash this thing and scatter several trays full of diamonds. Not only do you need to fit the trays snugly, but you also need to be firm and careful when pulling them in and out. So. I'm afraid I'm pulling too hard or the tray won't be perfect when I put it in place. and tilt the trays. Add to that the fact that almost all the patterns I have have at least 24 colors, so it never seems like the color I want is already in the bin. So it's a little useful and as advertised, but personally I wouldn't buy it again. If you find small resealable plastic containers much more useful.
